Positive Points

 

 

 

This exercise is from a series of exercises called ’ Brain Gym’  by  Paul E Dennison  and Gail E Dennison

 

 

Helps on various levels:

 

 

 

Positive Points may be done by another person or to oneself; may be done in conjunction with visualisations; imagining a pleasant scene; or creative thinking such as imagining an alternative outcome to an event or story; may be massaged gently to relieve stress.

 

 

ü      Touch the points above each eye with the fingertips of each hand

ü      The points are the just above the eye-balls, roughly half-way between the eyebrows and the hairline

ü      Apply enough pressure to pull the forehead skin taut

ü      Holding these points and breathing gently for a couple of minutes accesses the frontal lobe to balance stress around specific memories, situations, people, places and skills and also

ü      Relaxes the reflex to act without thinking when under stress
