˝ full or ˝ empty

 

 

 

For many years there has been a debate about whether or not someone is a ‘1/2 full person’ or a ‘1/2 empty person’.  In essence they appear to be talking about whether someone is positive or negative , cheery or a grump in their frame of mind, outlook, attitudes, dimensions or perspectives on life – call it what you will. 

 

Well this little tip doesn’t give you THAT type of definite written-in-stone confirmation however it can highlight whether or not you are feeling up or down, good or bad about things or even yourself at THIS moment in time.  And the theory is - when you are AWARE of which it is, the idea is that you can choose to change it by doing something to create the other dimension.

 

 

Equipment needed =            paper/card, pen/pencil

 

Preparation time =                1 minute

 

Activity =                                 On the paper/card draw a bottle or glass

Shade/fill in the bottom half of the container to about the half-way mark

Now place at the side of your bed where you can see it first thing in the morning – as soon as you awake

 

Use =                          First thing in the morning – as soon as you awake

Look at the drawing

Do you see it as ‘1/2 full’ or ‘1/2 empty’?

 

Action =                                  If it looks ˝ full then you’re in a good frame of mind – a great day lies ahead because you’ll sail through everything

If it looks ˝ empty, now what can you do to help change this?  Whatever activity it is – even just smiling helps – DO IT!
